As the widow of Deshaun Holton aka Big Proof;
I feel its only right that I speak out about all of the unofficial "benefit" concerts that have been held twice a year for the last 6 years. Enough is really enough! Let's be clear there has never been a dollar given to any of Proofs children as a result, but now that I've been public with expressing my disdain for the individuals who are responsible, they'd like to have the public believe they' re doing this out of love and respect, when it couldn't be further from the truth. If it were purely to carry on Deshauns legacy, then the concert should be free, right? No family members are involved. So who's supposed to benefit? Futhermore considering that the people responsible for this event have sued my late husbands estate (Killa Kaun) whose one of the performers in the line up, and (1st Born) who stole all of Proofs newest recordings from his studio, then tried to ransom them back to me for $50,000 is laughable. 1st Born is still running around affiliating himself with Iron Fist Records although it has been dissolved since Proof passed away in 2006. What's even crazier is that the public is still falling for his antics. When my husband was killed the first thing on 1st Borns mind was stealing all of the man's physical and intellectual property, nothing personal was left for his children because his so called friends stole all of his personal affects immediately after his death, then six years later u want to claim you're throwing a benefit concert for his children, well what happened the other 5 years you threw these benefit concerts? I don't want a dime from 1st he's a snake in the grass; that isn't man enough to make his own way so therefore he still uses my husbands name to get somewhere. It's really awful and shameful.
